Major investment to propel Quebec agtech companies with Zone Agtech

L’Assomption, September 3, 2025 – Zone Agtech is proud to announce a major partnership with Farm Credit Canada (FCC) designed to accelerate the adoption and reach of innovative agricultural technologies.

This three-year strategic partnership will enhance collaboration across the Canadian ag and food ecosystem to create solutions for real market challenges faced by producers in Quebec and beyond. The investment will support the deployment of two flagship programs:

The AgXis Acceleration Program: designed to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative agtech and plant bioproduct solutions that address the needs of Quebec-based producers. The program will support in welcoming international companies looking to establish operations in Quebec, contributing to a robust and resilient agricultural innovation ecosystem.

The Go Global : Quebec Scale-Up Program : designed to support the international expansion of Quebec-based Series A and B agri-food tech companies, in partnership with SVG Ventures | THRIVE Canada, which will establish a satellite office within Zone Agtech.

A concrete lever for innovation serving Quebec producers and the provincial economy

The AgXis Acceleration Program aims to increase the availability in Quebec of technologies tailored to the priority challenges of local producers and agri-food companies.

Each year, the program will support a group of companies to:

Accelerate the adaptation and maturation of their technologies through direct collaboration with local producers and private partners;
Strengthen the Quebec ecosystem by fostering the emergence and growth of companies capable of meeting market needs;
Attract national and international companies wishing to enter the Quebec market, thereby consolidating the Zone Agtech innovation cluster in agtech and plant bioproducts;
Facilitate market entry through real-world demonstrations, strategic coaching, and networking activities with industry leaders.

By bringing together Quebec companies, producers, and national and international stakeholders, this program helps build a strong, competitive, and forward-looking economy.

A springboard for global connectivity of Quebec agri-food tech companies

The Go Global : Quebec Scale-Up Program, co-developed with SVG Ventures | THRIVE, supports high-growth Quebec companies with ambitions to expand internationally. This intensive 13-week initiative helps companies fast-track their global growth through targeted programming, expert support, and direct market access. The program includes:

A 12-week virtual phase, including specialized sessions, tailored one-on-one mentoring with global experts, and meetings with international investors, corporate leaders, and key ecosystem stakeholders;

A one-week immersion abroad, including visits to leading innovation centers, B2B meetings with investors and large corporations, and opportunities to build strategic partnerships. The 2025 cohort will travel to the THRIVE Global Impact Summit in Santa Clara, California in October.

Through this initiative, SVG Ventures | THRIVE will establish a satellite office within Zone Agtech, thereby enriching the extensive international network already mobilized by Zone Agtech and its expertise in global business development. Quebec companies will gain expanded and privileged access to international partners, investors, and leading corporations worldwide.
