the Agtech Zone signs an agreement with Canada's largest optics-photonics innovation center, INO, to support the growth of its companies

MRC de L'Assomption, February 3, 2022 - Zone Agtech announces a partnership with INO, Canada's largest center of expertise in industrial optics-photonics.

This partnership strengthens our network of experts and the resources available to support the development and growth of our organization's Agtech community," says Marilou Cyr, Director of Zone Agtech. This agreement will give our members access to an organization recognized across the country for its expertise and ability to meet the challenges of the agricultural sector, and we're very pleased about that.

For almost two years, the Agtech Zone has been aiming to step up the development of tomorrow's agriculture. Today, to achieve this goal, it calls on the key players in the ecosystem. This agreement provides direct support for the deployment of its mission, and offers its members in the process of setting up operations direct access to INO's services and advice.

"INO has always been involved in a wide range of sectors, from manufacturing to aerospace, from transport to healthcare, and more than ever, agriculture is a major part of our business. That's why our association with the Zone Agtech is such a natural fit. Innovation in agriculture means pooling a wealth of expertise and know-how, working as a team and in a network to propel the agriculture of tomorrow, and this is what the Agtech Zone now enables us to do," mentioned Alain Chandonnet, President and CEO of INO.

INO makes a major contribution to the growth of the agricultural and agri-food sectors through the development of major innovations, whether in precision farming solutions (soil analysis) or robotics (harvesting robots). INO's expertise enables agtech companies to bring optical technologies to a level of maturity that allows them to be marketed locally, nationally and internationally.
