Our Direct Investment Project Manager, Guillaume Béland, was at the Greentech trade show in Amsterdam last week. This global gathering of the controlled environment agriculture industry enabled him to understand the challenges facing the industry, analyze the potential of overseas collaborations for Quebec agtech, and consolidate Quebec's position on a global scale.
This first trade mission for Quebec's agtech industry can be described as a success," says Mr. Béland. We were able to raise the profile of Zone Agtech members thanks to a Canadian kiosk that we initiated. I'd also like to thank MRIF for its excellent strategic outreach, MAPAQ for its interest in strengthening international collaborations, and Investissement Québec for its involvement. I would also like to thank the Délégation générale du Québec à Bruxelles and the Canadian Embassy for their constant support.
The event was also an excellent opportunity for some of the Zone Agtech members on site to stand out from the crowd. HRVST Limited, Damatex, Sollum Technologies and Symphoni, powered by Delight Technologies, shared booth space, while Les Fermes Lufa and Ferme d'Hiver made the rounds. All had the chance to position themselves as key players in this cutting-edge industry.
