?? On July 14, the Zone Agtech, Investissement QuébecInternationaland Global Affairs Canada presented agricultural technology export opportunities to Mexico. Several of our members accepted the invitation, and showed a keen interest in this market.
Executives from Larvatria, horoma AI, Oxwell Solutions, Hortau and Lanaudière Économique, among others, attended the event hosted by Juan-Carlos Munoz, Trade Commissioner at Global Affairs Canada.
According to Mr. Muñoz, the Mexican market offers promising prospects for agtech companies. Three particularly dynamic sectors were mentioned: controlled environment agriculture, precision agriculture and technologies for livestock farms. These agricultural technologies would enable Mexican producers to reduce their environmental impact, increase productivity and yield, and improve animal management and welfare, for example.
Participants also received advice on the challenges and factors to consider when exporting to Mexico. What better way to equip our members!
