L’Assomption RCM, September 24, 2026 –The Agtech Zone is proud to announce the establishment of Groupe Grenier on its property in Repentigny. This strategic move has strengthened the Agtech Zone’s innovation ecosystem by reinforcing the ties between agricultural production, food processing, and food distribution.
The Grenier Group’s establishment in Repentigny has resulted in significant economic benefits for the region, with investments of more than $2 million and the creation of more than 60 local jobs.
“This location offers a unique opportunity to bring our expertise closer to stakeholders in the agri-food sector and to actively contribute to innovation in the food value chain. We also wanted to contribute to the economic vitality of the L’Assomption RCM by investing locally and creating quality jobs. Setting up operations on the Agtech Zone site was therefore a winning combination for our company,” said Mathieu Grenier, President and CEO of Groupe Grenier.
“The arrival of the Grenier Group in Repentigny demonstrates our region’s ability to attract innovative companies and support their growth. With investments of more than $2 million and the creation of more than 60 jobs, this project generates tangible benefits for our community, while contributing to the development of a more innovative and sustainable agri-food sector. “We are proud to see a local company continue to grow in Repentigny and actively contribute to our city’s economic vitality,” adds Repentigny Mayor Nicolas Dufour.
“This project perfectly illustrates the Zone Agtech’s mission: to bridge the gap between technology and the practical needs of the agri-food sector. The company’s expertise in retail environments is a key addition to our ecosystem,” says Marilou Cyr, Executive Director of Zone Agtech.
The Grenier Group comprises more than 8 plants located in Quebec and Texas and employs more than 1,000 people in those regions. The company’s establishment in the Agtech Zone is part of a commitment to working closely and collaborating with stakeholders in the bio-food supply chain. Since its arrival, the company has made significant investments in research and development. The new building in the Agtech Zone thus serves as a true innovation hub, where the solutions of tomorrow are designed. The goal is to develop the door of the future by incorporating advancements in robotics and equipment automation. This constantly evolving project offers strong growth potential and will contribute to the creation of new jobs in the coming years.
With this new facility, the Agtech Zone continues to build an integrated ecosystem, where innovation by the Grenier Group marks an important milestone in the development of a complete value chain, from field to plate.
In addition to supporting innovation in the bio-food sector, the Agtech Zone aims to stimulate economic development in its RCM by establishing a sustainable and prosperous center of excellence.
