The Lanaudière Agtech Challenges give you access to agricultural businesses with specific needs and support you in carrying out demonstration projects designed to validate the performance of your solution directly in the field.

Using a structured and accessible methodology, you will be able to:

An exceptional effort by the Lanaudière ecosystem

The Lanaudière Agtech Challenges are an initiative of the Agtech Zone, carried out with the support of Farm Credit Canada (FCC) and the Lanaudière Prefects’ Table, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPAQ), the Lanaudière UPA Federation (FUPAL), the six Lanaudière RCMs, Tourisme Lanaudière, and several partners from the agricultural sector.

This unprecedented regional initiative aims to accelerate the modernization of agricultural businesses by demonstrating innovative technologies under real-world conditions and transferring knowledge to agricultural businesses in Lanaudière.

By participating in the program, you’ll gain exclusive access to the expertise and networks of the Agtech Zone, MAPAQ, FUPAL, the Lanaudière RCMs, and all the partners involved in demonstrating your technology’s performance, documenting its impacts, and accelerating its adoption by the agricultural sector.

The calls for solutions are open to Quebec-based companiesthat are members of Zone Agtechand are developing innovative technologies, equipment, or solutions for the agricultural sector.

The areas of focus vary depending on the needs expressed by the participating agricultural businesses and are specified in each of the challenges presented below.

The proposed technologies must already be developed and sufficiently mature to be demonstrated under real-world conditions. The Lanaudière Agtech Challenges aim to evaluate the performance, feasibility, and added value of existing solutions in a farming context in order to promote their adoption and commercialization, rather than to support the development of new concepts or prototypes.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria, among others:

• How well the solution addresses the challenge at hand and meets the needs of the agricultural business;
• The team's availability (between August 2026 and March 2027);
• The level of technological maturity, allowing for a demonstration under real-world conditions within the planned timeline;
• The company's ability to carry out the project (team, technical resources, and availability);
• The quality of the proposed approach, including the demonstration methodology and the proposed performance indicators;
• The potential for other agricultural businesses in Quebec to replicate this solution;
• The company's commitment to actively collaborate with the producer and to document the results in order to promote knowledge transfer.
