Validate, democratize and promote the adoption of innovative horticultural technologies

The result of a partnership between 5 of Quebec's major horticultural associations and Zone Agtech, the Horticultural Innovation Expertise Network is a group set up to validate, democratize and promote the adoption by Quebec growers of commercial-stage technologies that help solve labor and productivity issues and improve the environmental performance of businesses.

In addition to supporting the Horticultural Technology Adoption Acceleration Strategy (3AH), REIH provides 4 ongoing services to Quebec growers.

Strategy to accelerate the adoption of new horticultural technologies (3AH)

Funded by the Quebec government and the Network's 6 member-partners, the Strategy for Accelerating the Adoption of Horticultural Technologies in the Commercial Phase aims to reduce the barriers to technology adoption, and to create the conditions for success that will encourage Quebec growers to implement these technologies. It is based on 5 strategic axes.
Intensify support services
Continue and intensify support services for member horticultural producers in their technological choices.
Increasing the availability of Québec technologies
Via the Zone Agtech, create programs to increase the availability of technologies adapted to the priorities of Quebec producers.
Developing assessment protocols
In collaboration with qualified research centers, develop protocols for the neutral and objective evaluation of the performance of prioritized technologies.
Evaluating technology performance
Always in collaboration with qualified research centers, conduct neutral and objective performance evaluations for technologies selected by producers.
Stimulate the creation of financing programs
Promote the creation of financing programs adapted to the adoption of agricultural technologies by Quebec producers.

With a directory of over 700 technologies available in Quebec and worldwide, REIH has all the tools you need to create equipment lists tailored to your needs. This service is available exclusively to members of REIH partner organizations.

Technology demonstrations
With the aim of democratizing agricultural technologies, REIH organizes a series of technology demonstrations, in fields, orchards or greenhouses, to which all member growers are invited. These are excellent opportunities to discover technologies and validate their applicability at home.
