After announcing a financial partnership with Farm Credit Canada to roll out the AgXis and Go Global programs last September, the Agtech Zone officially launched the two initiatives to accelerate agricultural technology development on November 24.
Organized by the MRC de L'Assomption and attended by 75 key players from the agricultural, technological, institutional and political spheres, program participants and agricultural organizations were able to attend presentations on the potential of Quebec, Canadian and North American markets; a panel of entrepreneurs on agtech market entry strategies; a presentation on horticultural issues; "pitches" by companies in the cohort; and meetings and strategic exchanges with producers, investors and local stakeholders.
