Zone Agtech and the REIA launch a technology directory for Quebec agricultural producers

Zone Agtech and the Réseau d’Expertise en Innovation Agricole (REIA), which includes five Quebec horticultural associations and Zone Agtech, are launching the first directory of agricultural technologies to support Quebec agricultural producers facing labour shortage issues.

Developed jointly by REIA and Zone Agtech, this directory, which includes more than 400 technologies from Quebec and abroad for production management, weeding, harvesting, transplanting and more, includes search fields that allow the listing of available technologies by function, by origin and by stage of development. Producers who wish to address their recruitment challenges can now contact the REIA to obtain customizable reports on the tools and technologies best suited to their needs and challenges.

CONCERN FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

In the interest of continuous improvement, the REIA will continue to populate the database until December 2023. Agricultural producers can also make direct requests to the REIA  for personalized searches on categories not currently represented in the directory or to request additional information on specific equipment.

This tool is the first concrete action done by the REIA to support producers in performing agriculture despite the labour shortage issues.
